By turning them into a new stylus exclusively for use in embossing, you extend the life of the stylus as well as open
they are a very good mid-point between lo-fi tungsten and high fidelity diamond cutting styli
They are slightly thinner than the CD plastic and can be used to cut on lathes that have a center foot that rest on the disc
